AquaSeal: The most common failure mode in quartz heated baths is the corrosion of the heater elements caused by chemical fumes that have penetrated the seal between the quartz vessel and plastic housing.
The AquaSeal System eliminates acid exposure to the RTV seal by flowing DI or house water through a channel in the vessel’s flange. This forms a barrier between the RTV and the chemical environment. It also washes away any chemical residue and reduces the temperature in the seal area, increasing the life of the seal even while the bath is in operation.
AquaSeal vessels can last 3-5 times longer in demanding applications and are backed by an extensive 30- month warranty.
45° Knife Edge Weir: In overflow vessels, Imtec installs a patented raised 360° weir with a scalloped 45° knife edge rim. The baths are designed to produce an optimum flow pattern so that particles are carried off from the substrate surface and directed over the weir edge. The 45° degree weir design creates flow plumes that pull particulate up and over the weir, even if flow rates are marginal.
