TEFLON, PVDF, PFA, NPP Welded Tanks - ACCUBATH

IMTEC designed process and rinse tanks are constructed from a single sheet of application specific plastic material that is CNC machined and then folded into the form of your tank using the “ORIGAMI” method. Welded corners can create particle/contamination traps and can leak due to workmanship, thermal cycling, and/ or prolonged chemical exposure. However, the “ORIGAMI” method minimizes welding and provides smooth, seamless, rounded interior corners.

The “ORIGAMI” design and fabrication approach combined with over 40 years of wet process experience provides optimum process and rinse results at the lowest possible cost.

PVDF and Teflon tanks are available in configurations for all substrate and cassette sizes in standard or custom designs. Review your tank application and requirements with our sales staff to receive a cost-effective quotation in a timely manner. Sales drawings of standard tanks are available upon request.

Tank Materials Include :

-PFA (Teflon)

-PVDF

-Halar (ECTFE)

-Polypro (Polypropylene)

-Hyflon (PFA)

Please see our material compatibility chart to find out which material works best for your process.

Plastic Tank Features

Origami Construction - Minimizing weld seams inside of plastic tanks.

Tank Materials - PVDF, PFA Teflon, Halar, and Polypropylene.

In House Design and Manufacturing - Hydraulic cylinders, QDR dump valves, spray manifolds, integral cooling coils, and cassette furniture are all available and designed to specifications.

Resistant to Many Chemistries - Hydrofluoric Acid, Sulfuric, Potassium hydroxide, Methanol, and many more.

Technology

45° Knife Edge Weir - In overflow vessels, Imtec utilizes a 360° weir with a scalloped 45° knife edge rim. The baths are designed to produce an optimum flow pattern so that particles are carried off from the substrate surface and directed over the weir edge. The 45° degree weir design creates flow plumes that pull particulate up and over the weird, even if flow rates are marginal.

”ORIGAMI” Method - Our Teflon baths are CAD designed and CNC machined to achieve complicated shapes that are then folded into baths. This method minimizes welding and seams that can trap particles.

Accubath PVDF Teflon Specifications

Following are general specifications that apply to Accubath PVDF process and rinse tanks. Model specific information is supplied with each bath:

Tank Material: Virgin PVDF (thickness dependent on tank size)
Construction: folded corner origami construction, flushed weld seams
Connections: PVDF Flared stems standard
Maximum operating temperature: 100°C*
Optional Cooling Coils corrugated PVDF tube
